Erik Oros, CFA, CAIA

As Chief Investment Officer at Gideon Strategic Partners, Erik Oros provides clients with a holistic, macro-driven approach to asset management, overseeing investment strategy across portfolios spanning traditional and alternative asset classes.

Prior to joining Gideon, Erik was the Founder and CIO of Actinium Capital LP, a global long/short equity hedge fund investing across sectors and geographies. Before founding Actinium, he was a member of the global equity team at Salient Partners, with primary responsibility for the technology, media, and telecom sectors. He began his career completing a comprehensive analyst rotation program at UBS in New York.

Erik holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated in just three years, and an MS in Applied Economics with a concentration in financial economics from Johns Hopkins University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations, and authors Gideon's monthly market commentary, 'From the Desk of Erik Oros.'
